Barneys New York has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and announced that it will close 15 of its stores as the company tries to find a buyer. Chicago, Las Vegas and Seattle are just a few of the many locations closing.

Barneys said in a statement that they will reorganize and market the remaining stores to those looking for quality and value. The online store will remain open.

It’s not just the change in consumer shopping habits that have caused Barney’s bankruptcy; most store locations are in some of the most expensive places in real estate in the country and rental costs have risen for the company.
