Following the news that a manager at a Georgia Chick-fil-A restaurant asked a woman to “cover up” while breastfeeding her baby, other mothers organized a protest.

Samantha McIntosh wrote about the incident in a now-viral Facebook post. Upon learning what happened, Jessica Gaugush, who had never met the 24-year-old, rallied the troops.

Last week, 50 families peacefully gathered at the fast-food chain’s Evans location to participate in a “nurse-in”. “I never in a million years thought the support would be so far and so wide,” McIntosh told TODAY Food .

The owner of the franchise apologized to McIntosh, admitting, “My goal is to provide a warm and welcoming environment for all of our guests.”
