(CHICAGO) You might want to keep that rear window closed if you drive a newer model Nissan Altima.  Nissan is recalling more than 341,000 Altima sedans in the U.S. because the doors might open if a rear window is lowered. It’s a problem with the latch and lock cable in Altimas from the 2015 through 2017 model years.
Nissan will start notifying owners about the recall within the next couple of months and dealers will then fix the doors to make sure the cables are routed properly.
BMW is recalling more than 230,000 cars and SUVs in the U.S. to replace potentially dangerous Takata air bag inflators.  The recall is expected to start on March 15th.
BMW says the vehicles were originally built with inflators made by another company that may have been replaced with a Takata inflator in a previous recall or after a crash.
The recall covers certain 3 series cars from 2000 to 2002, some 5 series cars from 2001 to 2002, and some X5 SUVs from 2001 to 2003.
