According to several passengers on Southwest’s ill-fated flight 1380, the airline has reached out to them with financial compensation.
A letter received by those who were on the flight said they would get a $5,000 check for “any immediate financial needs” and a $1,000 travel voucher.
The letter said in part, “We value you as our customer and hope you will allow us another opportunity to restore your confidence in Southwest as the airline you can count on for your travel needs.”
Southwest flight 1380 had to make an emergency landing in Philadelphia earlier this week after an engine blew and debris broke a window in the cabin.
Jennifer Riordan died from injuries sustained during the flight.
