More troops are headed to Saudi Arabia in a US effort following an attack last month on Saudi oil facilities.
NBC News reports the White House announced Friday that 3,000 troops, a pair each of fighter squadrons and Patriot Missile batteries, an expeditionary wing, and a THAAD missile defense system have been deployed by the Pentagon.
Iran denies accusations that it’s to blame for the September attack resulting in a temporary spike in oil prices.
Plans for the deployment were put into works shortly after the attack.
