Maryland-based Novavax started phase 1 of its clinical trial of a Coronavirus vaccine candidate after a $388 million grant from Bill Gates’ Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness and Innovation.

Novavax enrolled 130 patients aged 18 to 49 from Australia and will administer the first vaccine dose Tuesday morning, according to Fox News . The company hopes to have some type of results by July.
