Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden introduced former presidential hopeful Julian Castro to his campaign during a speech addressing the country’s protests Tuesday.
Castro has joined Biden’s campaign to help tackle police reform. While Castro himself campaigned for the Democratic nomination, he had put out a stand-alone plan on police reform and cited those who had died by police violence throughout this speeches.
Biden tweeted to Castro Tuesday: “Julian, I made a promise to George’s family that he wouldn’t just become another hashtag. We’re going to tackle this head on and we need your help to do it.”
