Chicago police have issued an alert after a string of carjackings with similar circumstances were reported on the North and West sides this week.

There have been seven incidents since Monday where police say a group of three or four men in their late teens to early 20’s approach victims as they sit in their cars. Wearing masks, they pull out guns and demand personal property and the vehicle.

The seven attacks have taken place in Bucktown, North Center, Edgewater, Rogers Park, and Ukrainian Village.
