One Chicago airport back to pre pandemic flying levels

Midway airport says about 4.5 million travelers flew through the airport in March, compared to 4.4 million in 2019. Meantime at O’Hare the numbers are still down 12 percent at 15.8 million. Crain’s reports Southwest, the primary carrier at Midway has about 235 flights a day on the schedule, that’s 13 percent below pre pandemic levels. Chicago based United–the biggest airline flying out of O’Hare is down 6.4 percent and American Airlines is down 14.7 percent.
