A spokesperson for the Illinois Gaming Board says the temporary casino at the Medinah Temple could be open as soon as September 9th.

Regulators are set to inspect the site at Wabash and Ohio on September 5th.

Bally’s temporary casino has been outfitted with about 750 slot machines and 50 table games.

The company is hoping to hire 700 workers if the inspection is approved.

Bally’s $1.7 billion casino in River West is expected to take three years to complete.
