Arizona Dem Resigns Amid Sexual Misconduct Allegations

A newly appointed Democrat in the Arizona House has resigned just over a month after taking the job following allegations of sexual misconduct from his time at George Washington University close to a decade ago.

The Arizona House Democrats posted a statement from their leadership on Tuesday announcing the resignation of Rep. Jevin Hodge.

“We have accepted Representative Hodge’s resignation, which he offered in good faith and out of respect for our caucus, and we are prepared to move forward with the important business of the state,” House Democratic Leader Lupe Contreras said.
