Police: Pizza delivery drivers robbed at gunpoint on North Side

(CHICAGO) Police issued an alert after two pizza delivery drivers were robbed in January in the North Side Rogers Park neighborhood.

In the first incident, a delivery person was robbed about 10:50 p.m. Jan. 17 in the 7700 block of North Paulina, according to an alert from Chicago Police. The victim entered the building vestibule when three men came down the stairs and robbed him at gunpoint, police said.

Police said the suspects were black men, between 20 to 22 years old, about 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-10, with thin builds, police said. They were wearing masks and two of the suspects were wearing black hooded sweatshirts.

The second incident happened at 8:10 p.m. Jan. 18 in the 7700 block of North Marshfield, police said. In that incident, the delivery person was in a building’s courtyard. After calling the phone number on the order, two men appeared from the gangway and robbed him, police said.

In that robbery, one suspect was 25 to 28 years old black man, about 5-foot-6 and was wearing a black baseball hat, black jacket and beige pants, police said. The other suspect was a 25 to 28 years old black man, 5-foot-6 and was wearing a black jacket and blue jeans.
