CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago firefighters say no one was hurt after a small fire developed on an airplane at Midway International Airport.
The Fire Department says the blaze was reported in the engine compartment of a plane near Gate 7 shortly after noon Monday.
It says the blaze was put out with an extinguisher.
No passengers were aboard the plane at the time.

(CHICAGO) A man from Chicago’s western suburbs was one of two people killed in a plane crash in Wisconsin on Sunday. Authorities say 69 year old Ralph Keller of LaGrange Park was piloting a Cessna 182 going from Green Bay to Door County when the plane crashed in Peninsula Park, near the Door County community of Ephraim.
The crash occurred at about 8:30 p.m. The passenger was identified as 16 year old Olivia Dahl of Sister Bay Wisconsin, who apparently was a flying student.
Federal investigators were expected at the scene Monday.
